The Hunger Council of Addison County, our fifth Hunger Council, was launched in 2013 under the leadership of Frank Mazza and Emily Joselson.

The Co-Chairs of this Council are:

  • Emily Joselson, Attorney at Langrock Sperry & Wool
  • Moira Cook, District Director of the Vermont Department of Health, Middlebury District Office

The Hunger Council meets next on October 5th. (Press Release Here.) The Council will be largely focusing on the connection between housing and hunger, and joined by representatives of Addison County Community Trust, Charter House, HOPE, and John Graham Shelter. The Hunger Council of Addison County last met on Tuesday, June 7th, from 3:00 - 5:00 at the State Office Building, 156 South Village Green, Middlebury. The Council focused on aspects of the local food system in Addison County, with presentations by Dr. Teresa Mares of UVM, Jon Corcoran of ACORN, and Lily Bradburn of HOPE. All meetings, unless otherwise noted, will be from 3:00 - 5:00 at the Counseling Service of Addison County building at 109 Catamount Park.
