With support from the Canaday Family Trust, we launched the first meeting of the Hunger Council of the Upper Valley on Monday, September 21st, 2015. This is the seventh Hunger Council, and Hunger Free Vermont's first Council to cross state lines into parts of New Hampshire.

The Co-Chairs for this Council are:

Margaret Brown, Manager of Community Health at Dartmouth-Hitchcock

Gabe Zoerheide, Executive Director of Willing Hands

The Hunger Council of the Upper Valley last met on Monday, April 18th. The Council focused on summer meal programs, which play a crucial role in ensuring access to food for children and have great potential for growth in the region. The Council also met with representatives from CareGivers and reviewed progress on the Nutrition Education Resources Inventory project. The meeting agenda is available HERE and meeting minutes are available HERE

The Hunger Council next meets in early fall.
